How to Stay Beautiful Even While Running Marathon

When beauty regimens become part of any conversation, “running marathons” is perhaps the last thing that you would ever expect to hear from this. Sure, if you’re into running marathons, then it should make you look fit. However, it supposedly comes at the cost of being “beautiful”… or does it?

Thing is, there are many, many ways to being beautiful nowadays—and really, we’re not just referring to you getting plastic surgery or anything of that matter. Rather, were referring to the fact that there are variable ways to keep a regular beauty regimen even if you’re knee-deep in the middle of training for a marathon. How so? Well, let these tips below help you, then!

1.       Have your body massaged constantly

Massages obviously help in the way it encourages proper blood circulation throughout your body; of course, it should come as no surprise that massages should be very helpful in maintain a more beautiful appearance for your body.

What are the most recommended methods of massages for this purpose, then? Well, you can start with a soft effleurage massage that should help your body loosen up the tight muscles that you might have incurred from training. Or, if you think you’re up to it, then a deep tissue massage may be the one thing you’re looking for. If you really want to “pamper” yourself, then using lavender massage oil—which really does contain anti-inflammatory properties – will be perfect for this purpose.

2.       Bury your body in ice

We’ve seen this scene probably a dozen times in the movies already: a hero gets injured from a shootout, and instead of going to the doctor, he or she just straight-up immersed their bodies in iced water.

Kinda extreme, isn’t it? Well, you don’t need to injure yourself seriously just so you can try it out, but there is wisdom behind it: ice reduces swelling of the muscles, which is why some people choose to jump immediately inside an ice bath (preferably whilst inside a tub) so they can start the healing process of their bodies immediately.

Of course, you don’t have to be completely naked when doing it; you can actually jump inside an ice bath with your workout clothes, if you prefer. But if you still can’t stand the idea of doing so, then you can just immerse any of your extremities in ice, like your feet, for instance.

3.       “Balming” your body

Of course, how will these tips above help you maintain your beauty if you’re not even “soothed” by them? Well, applying balms on your body can surely can, and it is with good reason, too. How so? Well, let’s say that training or running for a marathon will cause your body to be so sore that you can hardly move any of your muscles. Well, if you have an all-purpose beauty balm on your dresser, then this should prove to be very helpful for your purpose; in particular, balms are the modern-day counterpart to what our grannies used as liniments back then—except that you don’t have to endure the pungent smell whilst applying it to your body!

So, do you have any other tips you are willing to share where you can still look fab even after running a marathon? Well, you can do so in the comments section below!

Three Reasons Why Women Should Shave (!) Their Faces

Yes, you read the title right: we are essentially telling women to shave their faces! But really, it’s not that weird as you initially think it to be; whilst shaving facial hair has been adopted as the men’s domain for years, there is no question that the benefits of shaving can also imbue women with the same benefits as it does with their male counterparts.

So, if you are a woman reading this piece right now, then we hope that you have gotten over your initial shock of reading the title above! So, are you ready to listen to why shaving can prove to be ideal to your face? Well, read below for more!

1.       Compared to waxing, razors are relatively painless

It should be pretty obvious why shaving should be the preferred mode of hair removal on your face as opposed to, say, waxing: not only is the process considerably sped up, it can also prove to be less painful than its more “glamorous” counterpart!

The mindblowing thing about it is that waxing and shaving basically operate by the same principles, though the methods for the two remain essentially different. Whilst we don’t have anything against waxing, do consider this: can you imagine having to wax your face daily just to remove a little bit of facial hair? No? Yep, we thought so.

2.       Shaving removes dead skin

Here’s one other thing that many people don’t think of when they shave off hair: since facial hair is still considered a part of your skin, removing it also removes any dead skin cells hanging inside it. So, believe it or not, shaving CAN be considered as “exfoliation”!
And really, if “exfoliation” still means anything to you, then here’s the best part of it all: it lessens the presence of wrinkles on your skin!

3.       Shaving is… just, well, cheaper

Ah, now this is the ultimate argument for why you have to adopt shaving: compared to other skin exfoliation treatments, shaving is just cheaper. And you can do it on a daily basis, too!
Of course, do remember that you can’t just any regular shave, though; you can start using facial razors if you want to have a “smoother” shaving experience for your face!

So, you still think women shaving their faces are still weird? Well, you can always talk it over with us if you have any doubts as to the effectiveness of this method!
